Redesigned Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS)
Regarding the Redesigned Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS) for the monsoon and winter seasons of 2025-26 in Dakshina Kannada district, the government has issued an order to pay the insurance premium. The last date for payment is 31.07.2025. Members who have crop loans are requested to pay the insurance premium at the main office of the society within the specified date and avail the benefits of the scheme.
Under the Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme, to pay the insurance premium, the farmer’s Pahani must be mandatorily linked with Aadhaar, i.e., the farmer must have a FRUITS ID. Additionally, crop details must be mandatorily recorded in the Revenue Department’s Bhoomi database (as per the Monsoon Crop Survey 2024).

Service Guidelines
- Lockers will be allotted only to customers who have an active account with the institution.
- Safe locker services are offered only to account holders of the institution.
- Customers are required to pay the prescribed rent and deposit amount. Rent must be paid in advance every year, and deposits are refundable.
- Locker services can be discontinued by informing the institution in advance.
